Previously existing law made it unlawful for a person to drive or operate a vehicle of any kind at certain speeds in certain conditions and, in any event, at a rate of speed greater than 75 miles per hour. (NRS 48 4B.600)
Senate Bill No. 2–Senator Gustavson, passed in the Nevada State Senate (16-4) and the State Assembly (31-11), raises this maximum limit by 5mph from 75mph to 80mph. This paves the way for the Department of Transportation to replace all existing 75mph signs with 80mph signs on Nevada highways.
